Tigers Fall In Road Match

Greencastle, IN- Wittenberg headed out to Greencastle, Indiana for their first match-up of the week against DePauw. A back and forth battle between the Tigers left Wittenberg with a score of 48-41 with DePauw taking the first win of the week.

The Red and White were able to take an early lead in the first quarter but were met with a competitive DePauw team who were able to take the lead by one going into the second quarter. Wittenberg came back and tied the game up twice in the second quarter but headed into halftime down with a score of 25-22.

The third quarter was more promising for Wittenberg who was able to take the lead for about five minutes before DePauw was able to catch up. A three-pointer from sophomore, Mackenzie Pauley tied the game 32-32 to head into the fourth quarter. Wittenberg kept their momentum going into the fourth quarter but were unable to stick with the Tigers of DePauw who ended the game on a free throw and 48-41 score.

Wittenberg was led by senior, Abigail Yunker who put up 12 points on the board followed by Kristie Kalis with 10 points.
