Tigers Trail On The Road

Delaware, OH- The Tigers hit the road for their second game of the 2020-21 season for another conference match-up with the Battling Bishop of Ohio Wesleyan.

Ohio Wesleyan took an early 10-0 lead over the Tigers but the Red and White were able to close the gap with points from senior, Kristie Kalis. Wittenberg was able to keep the game tight, only trailing by one going into the second quarter. Once again, the Tigers found themselves playing catch up in the second quarter with the Battling Bishop taking a four-point lead heading into the half with a 35-31 score.

Kristie Kalis kept up her momentum in the third quarter putting up eight point, adding to her impressive 31 points on the night. Wittenberg headed into the fourth quarter with a 13-point gap to close but were unable to catch up to Ohio Wesleyan who ended the game with a score of 72-60.

Wittenberg was led in points by Kalis who had 31 points, and just shy of the single game record of 38 points. Freshman, Evie Wolshire stepped up on defense, collecting seven rebounds for the Tigers and senior Abigail Yunker gave Wittenberg six assists to lead the Tigers.
