Tigers Fall In NCAC Opener At Kenyon

Gambier, Ohio – The Wittenberg women's basketball team opened up conference play on Wednesday evening, taking on the Ladies of Kenyon College. Wittenberg struggled to get their offense going in their final road game of November, falling to the Ladies of Kenyon College 64-50. The Tigers were plagued by turnovers early, falling behind to the Ladies 43-24 in the first half. Delaney Williams led the Wittenberg scoring effort early, logging eight points on three of four shooting with four rebounds and an assist through the first half. Following up her first career double-double, Sydney Mayle tallied 16 points and five rebounds, converting on 6 of 11 attempts from the field.

Unable to take the lead from Kenyon after the opening jump, the Tigers continue to get support from their bench as they added 11 points to the total on the night. As Wittenberg shot 40 percent from the field on the evening and 50 percent from the charity stripe. Wittenberg won the battle on the boards, taking the rebound margin 43-35.
