WOOSTER, Ohio - After four games in a span of just six days, Wittenberg women's basketball got a weeklong break, and the result was a much-needed victory as the Tigers never trailed in a 78-51 win over Wooster.

Wittenberg put three players in double figures offensively and held a commanding 51-34 rebounding advantage en route to its 11th win of the 2014-15 season. More importantly, the Tigers pushed their record back above .500 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) at 3-2.

Wittenberg jumped on top with a three-pointer on its opening possession by senior Katelyn Haralamos (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) and pushed the lead to 18 points by halftime. The Tigers added the first seven points of the second half and cruised from there, as 12 different players saw at least three minutes of action.

Senior Darbie Zirkle (St. Paris, Ohio/Graham) led both teams with 21 points in the game, thanks in large part to 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range. Junior Ali Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) added 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field and eight rebounds, while senior Enri Small (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus School for Girls) contributed a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards.

As a team, the Tigers shot 43.9 percent from the field and held Wooster to just 20-of-60 shooting. The loss dropped the Scots to 1-13 overall and 0-5 in the NCAC.
