GREENCASTLE, Ind. – After giving No. 1-ranked DePauw all it could handle for 20 minutes in the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament semifinals, the Wittenberg Tigers couldn't keep pace in the second half in a 66-43 loss.

The host Tigers improved to 27-0 overall after completing a second straight undefeated NCAC regular season. DePauw advanced to the NCAC Tournament title game on Saturday against second-seeded Kenyon.

Wittenberg capped its season with a mark of 13-14 overall after losing to DePauw in the NCAC Tournament semifinals for a second consecutive season. The Tigers were the No. 5 seed in the competition after tying with Denison for fourth place in the final regular season standings.

Wittenberg ended the first half with a 6-0 run to head into the locker room trailing just 26-24 at halftime.  The momentum proved to be short-lived, however, as DePauw opened the second half with a 13-2 run to break the game open. The visiting Tigers would get no closer than 10 points the rest of the way.

Wittenberg, which was outrebounded 35-23 in the game, was paced by sophomore Katelyn Haralamos (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) with 10 points. All 10 Tigers who saw action in the game scored at least two points and nine of them grabbed at least one rebound.

The visitors shot 45.5 percent in the opening half and 35.4 percent for the game. DePauw knocked down 56.5 percent of its attempts in the second half to finish at 44.9 percent for the game. The host Tigers also were outstanding from the free throw line, finishing 17-of-19 for the game.
