GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The short-handed Wittenberg Tigers were outgunned by No. 1-ranked North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival DePauw by a final score of 74-37.

Playing without leading scorer Enri Small (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus School for Girls) for a third straight game, the Tigers dropped to 8-9 overall and 4-4 in the NCAC. DePauw continued to roll through a perfect 2012-13 season, improving to 18-0 overall and 9-0 in the conference.

DePauw scored the first eight points of the game, but Wittenberg rallied to within 16-14 on a basket by senior Kim Replogle (Houston, Ohio/Houston) at the 11:37 mark of the first half. The host Tigers responded with a 7-0 run, and by halftime the margin had widened to 36-18. The visiting Tigers could get no closer than 17 points in the second half.

Wittenberg was limited to 30.6 percent shooting from the field, including 1-of-15 from three-point range. The visiting Tigers were outrebounded by 10 and committed 12 more turnovers than DePauw, which has beaten just two opponents all season by less than 10 points.
