The Tiger women's basketball team is nearing another North Coast
Athletic Conference regular season championship, which would be the
second in a row and ninth since Wittenberg joined the league in
1989. Wittenberg, which is 15-4 overall and 10-0 against conference
competition, is riding a 10-game winning streak and hasn't lost
since the calendar flipped to 2003. The Tigers, who already have
clinched a 14th consecutive winning season, are within three
victories of capturing the regular season title and home court
advantage for the NCAC tournament for a second consecutive season.
Allegheny, one of three teams tied for second place in the
conference at 7-3 (9-10 overall), figures to provide a stiff
challenge.
