Women's Basketball remains tied atop NCAC standings with win at Wooster

WOOSTER, OHIO - Taking care of business once again, the Wittenberg Tigers headed into a well-deserved week off with a third consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference win, this time a 78-52 decision over host Wooster.

The Tigers outscored the Lady Scots 29-11 in the final 11 minutes of the game after Wooster had narrowed a 20-point deficit to eight. Wittenberg led every minute of the game after scoring a layup just seven seconds into the first half and bursting out to a 10-2 lead.

Wittenberg got terrific offensive performances out of a quartet of juniors who have been doing it consistently this season. From the starting lineup, forward Tiffany Kellerhad her fourth straight game in double figures with 14 points, guard Stephanie Campbell had an outstanding all-around game with 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists and five steals, guard Kate Rolf hit for 13 points, and off the bench Meghan Bruggeman had the hot hand, shooting 5-for-5 and finishing with 11 points.

The win improved Wittenberg to 12-4 overall and 7-1 in the NCAC. The Tigers are tied atop the conference standings with defending conference champion Ohio Wesleyan, with a key home game against the Bishops slated for Saturday, Jan. 26 at the HPER Center in Springfield.
