CLEVELAND — The Wittenberg softball team was picked to finish sixth in the North Coast Athletic Conference in the 2024 Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released on Wednesday.

The Tigers received 22 points in the poll.

DePauw was picked as the conference favorite with four first-place votes and 46 points, Hiram was second with the remaining four first-place votes and 45 points, and Denison was third with 38 points.

Led by head coach Ashley Goodwin, the Tigers open their 2024 season on Saturday with games against Emory and Maryville in the Maryville Classic in Maryville, Tenn. Their home opener is a doubleheader against Otterbein on March 24.

They open NCAC play on April 9 with a doubleheader at Hiram.

The 2024 NCAC Tournament is scheduled for May 9-11.
