Tigers Place 8th and At NCAC Championships

Crawforsville, IN- The men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Indiana for the NCAC Championships.

The Men: The Tigers finished in eighth place out of nine teams with a score of 186 and average time of 27:52. Sophomore, Ryan Zimmerman led the way for the men finishing in the top 20 and a time of 27:02.5 ending his season being named All-NCAC. Sophomore, Cullen Sainey came in behind Zimmerman in 25th place and a time of 27:16.5. Freshman, Ian McCandlish and junior Miles Caine were able to work together and finish within a second of each other with times of 28:08.7 (McCandlish) and 28:09.4 (Caine). Sophomore, Andrew Reese was Wittenberg's number five runner finishing with a time of 28:42.6.

The Women: The Tigers finished in eighth place with an average time of 24:50 and overall score of 196. Senior, Alexis Gray led the ladies with a time of 24:02.1 and finished in 30th overall. Sophomores, Elizabeth Canright and Lauren Welker worked their way up together and followed close behind Gray with times of 24:25.1 (Canright) and 24:36.0 (Welker). Junior, Erika Bournival was Wittenberg's number five runner with a time of 25:26.5.

Up Next: The Tigers will look to transition into their indoor track season with their Tiger Opener at home on December 6th.
