Hired in January of 2018, Kevin Kustura worked with the men’s team helping them to their first winning record (14-11) in the program’s history. After completing his first season, Kustura joined the Women’s Volleyball Staff for their 2018 season, helping them to a 25-3 record and a Sweet Sixteen appearance.

Kustura has spent the past three years coaching at the club, high school, and collegiate level in Texas, Colorado, and California. Kustura graduated from California Baptist University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. At California Baptist University he played for 4 years as a setter and libero. While at CBU he was a 3-time MPSF Academic All-American.

After graduating from CBU he was a strength and conditioning intern at Metro State University and The University of Colorado Boulder before moving on to St. Mary's University (Division II) in San Antonio, Texas to coach the women's volleyball team there. While at St. Mary’s he helped the program to a 2nd place finish in the Heartland Conference before going on to win the Conference Tournament and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Kustura started playing beach volleyball at age 10. He then moved to indoor at age 11 and was a setter for Highline Volleyball Club. While playing for Servite High School he was selected as an alternate member for the USA Youth National Team in 2010. He also participated and several USA High-Performance Camps throughout High School. He will be graduating in May from Wittenberg with a Master’s degree in Athletic Coaching.
