SPRINGFIELD — Nine Wittenberg student-athletes were named to the 2023-24 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League All-Academic Team, the league announced on Friday.
Seniors Kurt Klamfoth (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) and Tom Supan (Medina, Ohio/Medina), junior Aaron Miller (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West), sophomores Jake Downs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Milford), Matthew Gerardi (New Carlisle, Ohio/Tecumseh), Eli Halverson (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) and Sam Richardson (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) and freshmen Brooklyn Hollander (St. Louis, Mo./University) and Reese Monnin (Xenia, Ohio/Carroll) all earned the accolade.
The MCVL All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who earned a varsity letter and had a 3.3 GPA or above. A total of 73 student-athletes representing all 10 MCVL institutions earned All-Academic status this year.
Wittenberg's nine honorees tied Adrian for third in the conference behind Baldwin Wallace (15) and Calvin (10).
