Heavy Offense Leads to Tiger Victory

Springfield, OH -- The men's volleyball team picked up another win Monday evening versus Wisconsin Lutheran, sweeping them 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-13). The Tigers focused on their offense with 96 total kill attempts, with 39 successful. Seven players had at least one kill with six grabbing four or more. Junior Chris Goertz was the leader for the match with eight kills, nine digs, and 25 attack attempts. Three different players tallied seven kills each: junior Dominic Melchiorre and freshmen Luke Teters and Jack BooneMelchiorre also picked up nine digs from the back, along with graduate Aaron Giorgi who collected 30 of the 32 total assists. 

The Tigers have mastered their returns, totaling 44 digs with freshman Aaron Miller hitting six and senior Russ Burke grabbing five.

Wittenberg will remain at home for their next match Tuesday, March 15, at 7 p.m. versus the Vikings of North Park.
