Tigers Suffer Setback On The Road At Fontbonne

Saint Louis, MO – The Wittenberg men's volleyball team came up short today in their two game series from Fontbonne, the Red and White fell 3-0 in both mathces (25-19, 25-19, 25-17) in the first and (25-11, 25-14, 25-13) from MABEE Gymnasium.

Match One

In the first game, Russ Burke led the way with a team-high 10 kills on 32 total-attacks, adding five digs and one block. Right behind him was Chris Goertz posting eight kills, while Aiden Hauter ended the first game with 21 assists. The Tigers put together their best offensive set together of the first match, posting a .240 kill percentage, putting down eight kills on 25 swings with just two errors.

Match Two

The Tigers couldn't get much to work for themselves in the second game. Goertz led with five kills and Burke not far behind him with four. Cameron Menini had six digs, as well as Hauter.

UP NEXT

The Tigers will be back in action on Wednesday, March 10 traveling to Adrian College. The first serve is set for 7:00pm.
