Tigers Win Second Straight MCVL Match with Win Over Greenville

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—Wittenberg men's volleyball dominated the day, dropping Greenville 3-1 for their second straight MCVL win in as many days. Wittenberg came out strong on Saturday afternoon, winning the first two sets 25-12 and 25-23 before dropping the third set 23-25. The Tigers rebounded quickly, winning set four 25-21 to end the match, as the Tigers improved to 3-5 in MCVL play.

 GAME NOTES
  • Joel Soto and Dylan Kolovitz combined for 30 kills in the win, as Kolovitz led the Tigers with 17 on the day.  
  • Ross Russell and Noah Wissel combined for 50 assists on Saturday, as Russell paced the Tigers with 29.
  • Teddy Hesterman recorded 11 more digs for Wittenberg, as Wittenberg recorded 45 as a team compared to Greenville's 39.
  • Ashton Sellers recorded three blocks for the Tigers, as Carter Schmidt chipped in two for the Tigers as well.
  • As a team, the Tigers recorded a season-best .358 kill-percentage, recording 15 errors in the match.
