SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—Wittenberg men's volleyball moved to 2-5 in MCVL play on Friday night, as the Tigers dropped Fontbonne (25-22, 28-26, 25-20) inside Pam Evans Smith Arena. Wittenberg was paced offensively by Joel Sotos who recorded 11 kills. Wittenberg improves to 5-12 overall in 2017, with a 2-5 MCVL mark in the bulk of their conference schedule.
GAME NOTES
- The three set victory featured a 22 dig performance by Teddy Hesterman, as the junior is currently averaging 3.61 digs per-set in 2017.
- Ross Russell and Noah Wissel combined for 41 assists in the match, as Russell paced the Tigers wit 23.
- As a team, Wittenberg's first set was the most impressive, as the team totaled 13 kills on 40 total attacks for a .200 percentage.
- In the match, Sotos accounted for 13 total points to lead the Tigers as the southpaw contributed a match-high 11 kills.
