"We are pleased to be accepted into the MCVL," said Wittenberg Director of Athletics and Recreation Gary Williams. "This is a great opportunity for our new program to compete right away with some of the best teams in NCAA Division III."

Wittenberg announced the addition of men's volleyball as the university's 24th varsity intercollegiate sport last month. A national search is currently underway to select a head coach as the Tigers prepare to compete for the first time in NCAA Division III in the 2016 season.
