Men's Track & Field Takes Fourth at NCAC Championships

Delaware, OH – The Wittenberg Men's Track and Field team took fourth-place at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, collecting 114 points over the course of the two day meet.

Conor Kolka took the top spot in the 5000-meter run, posting a winning time of 14:50.07. Zeke Bennett added a second-place finish for the Tiger's in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 22.17. Bennett and teammate Cameron Elliott finished back-to-back, securing second and third-place finishes in the 400-meter event, with times of 48.29 and 48.32.

The Wittenberg 4x100-meter relay team of JJ Weisenberger, Matthew Drovdlic, Cameron Elliot and Grayson Ring took the top spot with a time of 41.90. The Tiger 4x400-meter relay team of Elliott, Bennett, Ring and Ian McCandlish tabbed a second-place finish, with a time of 3:17.43.

Wittenberg would once again finish neck-and-neck, this time in the 800-meter run, with Ian McCandlish earning All-NCAC honors taking the third-place spot, in a time of 1:53.26. Dak Smith added a fourth-place finish for Wittenberg in a time of 1:56.95.

Matthew Drovdlic took fifth-place in the 100-meter dash, posting a time of 11.02. Riley Payne secured a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, stopping the clock in a time of 15.44. Payne followed up his performance with an All-NCAC run in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 57.05.

In the field events, the Wittenberg jumpers, Grayson Ring and Justin Norris tallied a third and fourth-place finish respectively. Ring secured All-NCAC honors with a third-place finish with Norris claiming fourth-place.

Jeremy Watson cleared a bar set at a height at 4.40 meters in the pole vault competition, earning All-NCAC honors and securing second-place.

JJ Weisenberger added an All-NCAC finish in the javelin throw with a toss of 50.38 meters.
