Wittenberg Track & Field From All-Ohio Invitational

Westerville, Ohio – The Wittenberg University men's and women's track and field team took part in the All-Ohio Invitational at Otterbein University on Saturday afternoon. Both the men's and women's team took 8th place amongst the field of 18 schools competing. Junior Charles Rodeheffer earned the win in the 5000m run crossing the line in a time of 15:29.04.

Senior Tyler Gittins posted a 50.78 in the 400m dash for a fifth-place finish. Junior Kenny Mayes picked up a fifth-place finish in the 800m run with a final time of 1:59.38. The 4x200m relay team of Tyler Branton, Matt Entsminger, Brandon Johnson, and Marcus O'Neal crossed the line in a time of 1:33.08 for a fourth-place finish. The 4x400m relay team of Gittins, Mayes, O'Neal, and Kyle Farnbauch posted a time of 3:30.14 for a seventh-place finish. Tay Morton earned an eighth-place finish in the triple jump with marks of 11.56-12.45-12.40.

Alexis Gray came across the line in a time of 2:20.50 for a fifth-place finish in the 800m run. Olivia Stevens (9.61) and Ryelee Clary (9.62) finished back-to-back in the fifth and sixth spots in the 60m hurdles. Tyra Barnes placed seventh and Marteana Newton finished eighth in times of 1:01.50 and 1:01.90 in the 400m dash. The 4x200m relay team of Tiarra Avant, Barnes, Samantha Mitchell, and Newton took sixth-place with a time of 1:48.44. Freshman Taylor Barnhisel would take sixth in the indoor pentathlon competition.
