Men's Track Runners Continue to Shine at the Twilight Invitational.

BEREA, Ohio – Select men's track athletes have continued their sprint following the NCAC Championships. The Tigers traveled to Baldwin Wallace University to compete in the Harrison Dillard Twilight Invitational on the night of Friday, May 12.

Tyler Gittins struck down his opponents once again in the 400 meter hurdles. The junior claimed the first place crown, crossing the line in 53.07 second. This time boosts him to be ranked in the top 10 nationally in NCAA Division III. First place in the 400 meter hurdles has been claimed by Gittins for the fourth time this season, meanwhile the race also sets his personal best time of the year. He remains four tenths of a second off of the school record for his event.

Gittins also contributed as the lead off runner in the 4x400 meter relay, followed by Ryan Hale, Kenny Mayes, and Cody Shutt. The relay sped their way to a 3:15.82 finish, good for fifth place. Their combined time bumps them up to a top-15 ranked time across NCAA Division III. Their time also sets a school record, beating out the previous time by just over a second.

They continue on to North Central College in Naperville, Illinois to compete at the Gregory Invitational on Wednesday and Thursday, May 17 to 18.
