WESTERVILLE, Ohio—Both Tiger track and field programs took their talents to Westerville, Ohio on Saturday to compete in the Division III All-Ohio Championship hosted by Otterbein University. On the men's side, of the 18 teams competing, the NCAC was represented by six members, as the Tigers came in second out of the NCAC competition, and 12th overall. While the women also finished in 12th out of 17 teams, the Tigers were fourth out of six NCAC schools competing.
WOMEN'S TOP 8'S
- Olivia Stevens took home third place in the 60 meter-hurdles for the Tigers, running a finals heat of 9.41 seconds.
- The reigning NCAC athlete of the week, Tyra Barnes, finished in third in the finals of the 400 meter-dash at 59.91 seconds.
- Alaina Longshore also scored in the 400 meter-dash for Wittenberg, earning a sixth place finish at 1:00.48.
- The 4x200 meter-relay team of Tiarra Avant, Samantha Mitchell, Courtney Huck and Longshore earned seventh place for the Tigers at 1:46.96.
- The 4x400 meter-relay team also finished in seventh in the finals, as Katelyn McCohn, Huck, Longshore, and Mitchell combined for a time of 4:09.65.
- Finishing just outside of the top eight for the Tigers was Gabrielle Draginoff in the pole vault, who's ninth place finish of 3.28 meters broke the Wittenberg school record that she had previously set this season.
MEN'S TOP 8'S
- The 4x400 meter-relay team of Tyler Gittins, Ryan Hale, Andrew Boeres and Cody Shutt scored for the Tigers, as their finals time of 3:28.57 earned the team third place.
- The 4x200 meter-relay team of Tyler Branton, Matt Entsminger, Marcus O'Neal, and Boeres came in fifth in the finals at 1:31.82.
- Branton also scored for the Tigers in the 200 meter-dash, coming in sixth place at 22.85 seconds.
- Jardyan Mitchem scored for the Tigers in the pole vault, clearing 4.10 meters, good enough for seventh place.
- O'Neal rounded out the Tigers meet, earning an eighth place finish in the 60 meter-hurdles at 8.54 seconds.
