Nick Rohner was named Wittenberg's head coach for men’s and women’s tennis in August 2014.

Prior to his arrival in Springfield, Rohner served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Central College, an NCAA Division III institution located in Pella, Iowa. He had been involved in all aspects of the program since graduating from Central in 2008. As a studet-athlete, Rohner was a four-year letterwinner, and finished second in his flight in both the singles and doubles competitions hosted by the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Coference in his senior year.

In six seasons as Central’s assistant coach, Rohner helped guide the Dutch men’s team to winning records three times and at least 10 victories each season, while the Dutch women posted winning records five times in that span. While coaching at Central, Rohner also served as director of junior programming for the Pella Tennis Association (PTA) from 2011-14 where he and the PTA earned recognition for their efforts to grow local tennis, as the USTA's Missouri Valley Community Tennis Association of the Year in 2014.

Rohner became a licensed teaching professional through the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) in 2010 and has been providing individual and group instruction to youth and adults of all ability levels since 2006. He currently serves as the Springfield Area Tennis Association's head teaching professional and is their program director for summer lessons.

Rohner earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Central in 2008, and he also holds a master’s degree in sport and recreation sciences from Ohio University, earned in 2012. He resides in Springfield with his wife Kaela.
