SPRINGFIELD — The Wittenberg men's tennis team fell 9-0 to No. 28 Kenyon in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Sunday.
The Basics
- Records: Wittenberg (1-13 overall, 0-2 NCAC), Kenyon (7-6 overall, 2-0 NCAC)

- Kenyon is ranked No. 28 nationally in the latest ITA NCAA Division III rankings, which were released on Wednesday. The Owls have played eight top-50-ranked teams this season, going 2-6 against that group.

- In doubles play, junior Ethan Libby (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) and senior Kyle Fout (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) fell 4-8 at No. 1, junior Mark Trinka (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest) and freshman Sven Van den Eerenbeemt (S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands/Gymnasium Beekvliet) fell 2-8 at No. 2, and freshmen Jacob Bennett (Pickerington, Ohio/Central) and Henry Smith-Heston (Yellow Springs, Ohio/Yellow Springs) fell 0-8 at No. 3.
- Libby fell 3-6, 0-6 at No. 1 singles.
- Trinka, freshman Andrew Garofoli (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) and Van den Eerenbeemt fell by identical 1-6, 0-6 scores at Nos. 2, 5 and 6 singles, respectively.
- Fout fell 0-6, 0-6 at No. 3 singles.
- Bennett fell 1-6, 1-6 at No. 4 singles.
