Tigers Suffer Tough Loss To Wooster

Dayton, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Tennis team hosted the College of Wooster Fighting Scots from the Five Seasons Tennis Club on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers suffered a heartbreaking 5-4 defeat to the Scots. Wittenberg picked up 2 of 3 doubles courts to start the day, leaving only two Tiger wins left on the singles courts.

The doubles pairing of Brayden Kopp and John DeVito picked up an 8-6 win on the first doubles court for the Tigers. Jake Stockhausen and Joe Patton put Wittenberg ahead 2-1 after the doubles action with and 8-3 win on the third doubles court. Stockhausen picked up his second win of the day with a (6-1, 6-3) straight set victory over his opponent from Wooster in straight sets. Mark Trinka didn't drop a set, taking his match by a final score of 6-0, 6-0.
