Tigers Celebrate Senior Day With Win Over Wabash

Springfield, OH - It was a successful senior day for Wittenberg men's tennis as they took down the Little Giants of Wabash College. The Tigers took the match by way of a 7-2 decision over the Little Giants. Starting off with the doubles matches was John DeVito and Jake Stockhausen winning 8-5. Kyle Fout and Hayden Durant beat their Little Giants match-up in a close match at 8-7. Bringing in the last doubles match of the day were partners Joe Patton and Nathan Baulch took the decision 8-5.

DeVito fell in his singles match with a close score of 3-6 and then 4-6 in each set. Stockhausen took control in his singles match, winning in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-1, against Wabash's Liam Grennon. Patton took the third singles court, winning the first set 6-0 and then 6-1, respectively. Each of the Tiger's next two singles matches was won by Fout and Jensen. Fout took down his opponent in two sets while Jensen won in three. Baulch fell to the Little Giant in the last singles match of the day, with an exciting three-set match.

The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, May 1st as they take on DePauw University at DePauw, starting at 11:30 am.
