MEADVILLE, Pennsylvania—Wittenberg men's tennis earned a hard-fought 6-3 victory of NCAC foe Allgeheny on Friday afternoon. The Tigers made the long trip to Allegheny, and looked impressive from the start.
Luke Minard and Timmy McNulty combined for an 8-3 victory out of the number one doubles position, while Martin Mora and Akbar Tiwana were dominant in a 8-1 win the number two doubles.
Mora continued to excel for the Tigers, this time in number one singles, winning 2-6, 6-2, and 6-3. McNulty joined Mora with a singles victory in number three singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
Caleb Astwood and Tiwana rounded out the Tigers day with wins in number four and number five singles, as Astwood played the match of the day for Wittenberg.

Once we figure out how to truly control all of our emotions, you will see an elevated level of competition…Martin and Caleb were really able to focus and win three set matches to clinch the win for us," said Coach Day.
