SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on the 2015-16 season with a 7-2 loss to visiting Hanover.

Wittenberg, which did not qualify for the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament, finished the season with a 7-15 overall record. Hanover won its fifth straight match and improved to 11-7.

This match was originally scheduled for March 19, but inclement weather forced postponement.

The competition started with a 2-1 decision in favor of Hanover in doubles play. The Tigers' point came at No. 2 as freshman Timmy McNulty (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) and junior Akbar Tiwana (Lahore, Pakistan/Aitchison) won a 9-7 decision.

In singles, Hanover won in straight sets in five of the six matches. The Tigers picked up their lone singles point at No. 1, where freshman Matt Arroyo (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) won 6-4, 6-4.
