SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - A pair of freshmen pulled off impressive wins on the first two singles courts, but visiting Wooster won the rest of the matches en route to a 7-2 team victory.

The loss dropped Wittenberg to 5-9 on the season.

Wooster took control of the match in doubles play by sweeping all three courts. In singles, the Tigers bounced back behind freshman Matt Arroyo (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) at No. 1 and freshman Luke Minard (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) at No. 2. Arroyo topped Titas Bera, the 19th ranked player in the Central region, and Minard bested Jack Buchan in a third-set tiebreaker.

The Tigers get right back into action Saturday with non-conference home matches against Concordia and Allegheny.
