FROM THE COACH

  • "The story of today's matches was the depth of our freshmen class. Led by Minard and McNulty's fast hands in doubles, the rest of the squad took their cues from our number-one doubles team to fight for every point...Early season double-headers are always a physical and mental battle, but the competitiveness of all of the day's matches proved extra taxing. Nonetheless, we had multiple chances to close matches and we capitalized on several of them. Overall, our guys are playing higher percentage tennis, they're starting to construct points better around their weapons, and we're showing a mental fortitude that wasn't present in the fall. Special kudos must also be given to Minard who won a tight match at number-one singles. He shows tremendous promise and will undoubtedly have a great career at Wittenberg," said Coach Rohner.
