OBERLIN, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on the fall portion of the 2015-16 season with an 8-1 loss at Oberlin.

While Wittenberg and Oberlin are North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rivals, the match will not count toward league standings. The Tigers fell to 2-1 on the season, while the Yeomen, ranked 13th in the region, improved to 1-1.

Oberlin swept the doubles competition to set the tone for the match. The Tiger tandem of sophomore Martin Mora (Quito, Ecuador) and junior Akbar Tiwana (Lahore, Pakistan/Aitchison) competed well at No. 1 before falling 8-6.

In singles, Wittenberg picked up a point from Mora at No. 1 in a 6-3, 7-6 victory, but the Yeomen took care of business from there. Wittenberg freshman Matt Arroyo (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) extended his match at No. 2 singles to three sets before losing.
