WOOSTER, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers dropped an 8-1 road decision to North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival Wooster in a match moved in to the Scot Center thanks to inclement weather.

The loss pushed Wittenberg's record back to 1-10 overall. The match does not count against the Tigers' NCAC West Division record.

Wooster started the match with a doubles sweep, keyed by a narrow win at the No. 1 position. The Tiger tandem of senior Alexey Topolyanskiy (Moscow, Russia/School 712) and freshman Martin Mora (Quito, Ecuador) lost a hard-fought 9-7 decision.

In singles, the No. 1 and No. 2 positions both went three sets. Mora nearly pulled it out at No. 1 before suffering a 6-4 third-set defeat, while Topolyanskiy earned his win at No. 2 with a 6-3 third-set decision. Topolyanskiy's season singles record improved to 7-6 overall.
