Topolyanskiy, Munson Claim Singles Wins At Ohio Northern

LIMA, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers picked up a pair of straight-set singles victories but Ohio Northern pulled away for a 7-2 win in a match played at the Westwood Tennis Fitness Center.

The loss dropped Wittenberg to 1-8 on the 2014-15 season.

Senior Alexey Topolyanskiy (Moscow, Russia/School 712) was outstanding again, collecting a 6-2, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 singles position. He was joined on the winning side of the ledger by sophomore Sean Munson (Chicago, Ill./Roycemore), who took a 6-0, 6-4 decision at No. 4 singles.

Freshman Stefan Thornberry (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) just missed joining the win parade, but he dropped a 10-4 tiebreaker decision after splitting sets at No. 5 singles.
