Tigers Get Back In Win Column Against Earlham

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - A doubles sweep was the key to victory as the Wittenberg Tigers claimed a 7-2 decision over North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival Earlham. 

The win moved Wittenberg to 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the NCAC, while Earlham fell to 2-6 and 0-2. The Tigers have a pair of NCAC matches remaining before the conference tournament.

With three doubles wins in hand, the Tigers were able to put things away in the singles competition. Double winners on the day included freshman Robert Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) at No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles with junior Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) and sophomore Rob Lehner (Gahanna, Ohio/DeSales) at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles with sophomore Craig Lods (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe). Lods was also a two-time victor on the day as he claimed the No. 5 singles position.

Rounding things out, junior Dan McNeeley (Beavercreek, Ohio/Xenia Christian)was a winner at No. 6 singles and the doubles team of sophomore Greg Harvey (Urbana, Ohio/Urbana) and freshman Andy Lamb (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton) added a win at No. 3.
