Tigers Claim Eight Individual Event Wins Against OWU

Springfield, Ohio - The Wittenberg men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued to build momentum with a host of strong finishes in a dual meet against North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival Ohio Wesleyan. The women were defeated 132-54, while the men lost 112-91.

Combined, Wittenberg's men and women were credited with eight event wins and 10 personal-best times in the meet.

For the women, sophomore McKenna Clark (Waynesville, Ohio/Carroll) finished first in the 200 free, sophomore Shania Stone (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) took the top spot in the 50 free, freshman Rebekah Lebold (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) placed second in the 50 free, junior Jenna Hallett (Delta, Ohio/Delta) placed second in the 200 IM and 100 fly, freshman Sophie Paskiet (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula) won the 100 free and 100 breast, and senior Mackenzie Schuld (Rocky River, Ohio/Rocky River) led the way in the 500 free. In addition, the 400 mediley relay was victorious and the 400 free relay placed second, and sophomore diver Macy DeHart (Springfield, Ohio/Kenton Ridge) placed second in the 3-meter diving event.

For the men, sophomore Mason Steen (LeRoy, Ohio/Riverside) finished second in the 50 free, freshman Andrew Lazar (Ocala, Florida/West Port) claimed second in the 1000 free, sophomore Jon Wasky (Kettering, Ohio/Fairmont) finished second in the 500 free, and senior Zach Parkman (Lancaster, Ohio/Fisher Catholic) took the top spot in the 200 IM and 100 back. The men's 400 medley relay, including Steen, Parkman, freshman Aidan Dannenfelser (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier), and sophomore Owen Gabel (New Bremen, Ohio/New Bremen), placed second.
