Men's Swimming & Diving Back In The Water

Wooster, OH – The Wittenberg men's and women's swimming and diving team returned to the water, taking a trip to the College of Wooster for their first of two meets this semester. The Tigers are returning to competition for the first time since the fall term, where Wittenberg was able to participate in virtual meets.

Emma Hellmann claimed the top spot in the one-meter diving competition, posting a score of 261.50 which now stands as a new Tiger record. Hellmann wasn't finished cementing her place in the Wittenberg record book, she also shattered the 3m record with a dive of 258.50. The previous record has stood since 2013 when Emily Allen posted a 248 in the 1m and a 244.40 in the 3m.

Zach Parkman earned the first Tiger victory of the day, claiming the top spot in the 200-yard Freestyle, clocking a time of 1:49.23. The Tigers finished back-to-back in the 50-yard Freestyle, Lukas Lindberg earned a second-place finish with a time of 24.58. Bailey Jones as close behind, stopping the clock at 24.99. Parkman added another first-place finish, taking the top spot in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:59.83. Lindberg earned another second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 56.04. Ryan Heighton secured a third-place finish in the 500-yard Freestyle with a time of 5:47.83

Mackenzie Schuld claimed a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 5:37.12. Abby Dunasky collected a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, stopping the clock in a time of 2:53.91
