CSCAA Scholar All-America Recognizes Both Tiger Swimming and Diving Programs

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named 710 teams to its Scholar All-America list for the Spring 2018 Semester. The teams represent 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions.

The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Transylvania's women's team (3.79) and Caltech's men (3.63) led Division III programs with twelve or more participants.

Both Wittenberg swimming and diving programs earned spots on this year's list, as the women checked in with a 3.00 team GPA, and the men at 3.30. The men's 3.30 average is the highest team GPA for the Tigers' on the men's side in the last five years, as Coach Bernhardt's programs continue to set records in and out of the pool.

Team GPA calculations for Scholar All-America include every student-athlete who competed during the season.

The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
