HIRAM, Ohio—Wittenberg swimming and diving partook in a dual meet against NCAC foe Hiram College on Saturday afternoon. Wittenberg won both ends of the meet; 123-36 on the men's side, and 121-40 on the women's.

Wittenberg dominated the day, winning 24 of the 25 events, as the Tigers will now begin preparation for the 2018 NCAC Championships at Denison on February 14-17.

"I am proud of our teams' effort today at Hiram. It's was a long day of travel and racing but we were able to sustain our effort an energy throughout the meet," said Coach Bernhardt.

"We have come together well as a team and it showed today. We are at a weird stage of our taper for the NCAC Conference Championship and we focused on race strategies and just being in the moment of competition. They accomplished that well. We are now completely focused on our preparations for the NCAC Meet."

Coming off a dominant performance in their last home meet of the year a week ago against Anderson University, the Tigers picked up where they left off on the road at Hiram.

Bradley Barren dusted the competition in the men's 100-meter butterfly, finishing ahead of Drew Suffoletta by five seconds with a finals time of 1:03.90. Sammi Petruzzi matched Barren's time in the same event on the women's side, as the senior touched the wall in 1:09.66.

Freshman Trey Gregory showed well in the men's 800 freestyle, coming in first with a finals race of 9:56.95, 18 seconds ahead of Hiram's Michael Barber. Lauren Ruddy claimed first place in the same event on for the women's team with a finals heat of 10:23.71, 13 seconds ahead of Hiram's Jenna Nelson.

The 200 meter women's relay team of Morgan Siefert, Annelise Gibson, Petruzzi and Ruddy also claimed first place, finishing 22 seconds ahead of the pack with a finals race of 2:15.55.
