Tigers End Dual Meet Season at Kenyon

GAMBIER, Ohio-- the Wittenberg Tigers closed out this weekend with dual meet losses at North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival Kenyon. The Tiger women dropped their meet 209-79 while the Tiger men fell 219-80.

The results left the Tigers with dual meet records of 6-3 for the women and 5-4 for the men. Wittenberg will focus on training over the next two weeks before heading to the NCAC Championships at Denison University February 10 through 13.

 

WOMEN'S TOP PERFORMER

  • Amy Schulz (Waterloo, Illinois/Waterloo) shined for the Tigers, taking home a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a finals time of 1:10.73.

MEN'S TOP PERFORMER

  • Willie Smith (Goldsboro, North Carolina/ Eastern Wayne) took home a third-place finish in the 1-meter diving finals for Wittenberg, with a final score of 218.10

FROM THE POOLDECK

  • "We've had some great improvement over the dual meet season and have increased our training intensity tremendously. We are ready to rest and fine tune over the next few weeks so we can perform to our full potential at the NCAC Championships," said Coach Koukis.

UP NEXT
