Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg men's soccer team battled No. 22 Ohio Wesleyan tough throughout the night, but the Bishops were able to find the back of the net once in the first half and twice in the second half to post a 3-0 victory over the Tigers.

The Battling Bishops broke a scoreless tie midway through the first half on a breakaway goal from Dom Calabrese, before adding the second unassisted goal of the night in the 64th minute on a shot for 20-yards out off the of Matt Yingling. OWU then closed out the scoring in the match in the 78th minute on a goal from Hector Gomez off a pass from Antonio Romanelli.

Ohio Wesleyan held a 23-6 advantage over Wittenberg in total shots, with senior forward Alberto Zaragoza leading the way for the Tigers with two total shots. OWU also held a 7-0 edge over Wittenberg in corner kick opportunities.

Wittenberg split the match in goal, with senior Jack Snider making two saves in the first half and freshman Jason Bowen making four stops in goal in the second stanza.
