Men's Soccer Falls To No. 8 Kenyon

Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg men's soccer team hosted the nationally ranked Lords of Kenyon College on Friday evening. The Tigers battled the No. 8 team in the nation to a final score of 5-1 in the NCAC opener at Edwards-Maurer Field.

The Tigers managed to put three shots on goal, taking advantage of two corner kick opportunities on the night. Wittenberg made their way on the board in the 82nd minute of action, as Eli Esterline connected with Alberto Zaragoza for his seventh goal of the season. Kenyon led the shot count with 14 shots, placing five on target. Senior keeper Jack Snider made three saves on the night for Wittenberg.

UP NEXT

Wittenberg will return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 25 when they travel to Earlham for a 4:00 PM showdown with the Quakers. The Tigers will resume NCAC action when they travel to Oberlin to take on the Yeomen on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7:00 PM.
