Springfield, Ohio – Despite a strong defensive effort throughout the 90 minutes of action, the Wittenberg men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision against No. 5 Calvin on Tuesday night at Edwards-Maurer Field. The loss evens the Tigers' record at 4-4 on the year, while the victory pushes the Knight's overall mark to a perfect 7-0.

The Knights dominated the pace of play and maintained possession on their offensive half of the field for the majority of the night, but the Wittenberg backline held their own, allowing just one goal in the match. Freshman goalie Jason Bowen showed poise between the pipes for the Tigers, finishing the night with nine saves against 10 total shots on goal.

Calvin also held a 23-4 advantage over Wittenberg in total shots and attempted 17 total corner kick tries compared to just one for the Tigers.
