Wittenberg Men's Soccer Celebrates Senior Day

Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg men's soccer team celebrated the careers of eight seniors on Saturday before hosting NCAC rival Allegheny. Before taking the pitch one last time at Edwards-Maurer Field, the Wittenberg men's soccer program welcomed Matthew Bayler, Alex Benoit, Cameron Ferguson, Nick Foley, Reed Gibson, Teddy Price, Daniel Roberts, and Andrew Yokum along with their families for a short recognition ceremony for their hard work and dedication over the years. The final result would not be what the Tigers were looking for on the day, falling to the Gators 7-2 on the afternoon.

GAME BREAKDOWN

  • Nick Togilatti got the scoring started for the Tigers, beating the Allegheny keeper in the 28th minute on the Ferguson assist.
  • Scott Durham would help the Tigers find the back of the net for a second time, putting back the follow-up shot in the 64th minute.
  • The Wittenberg offense picked up in the second half, accounting for 13 of their 18 total shots through the final 45 minutes.
