SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-- Senior Andrew Yokum (Waterville, Ohio / Anthony Wayne) will serve in this leadership role for the third consecutive season. "Andrew brings all the qualities you would expect from a leader. He's hard working and demanding while earning the respect of his teammates and coaches through effort and a strong physical presence," said Coach Burgess.
Joining Yokum is senior central-defender Cameron Ferguson (Westerville, Ohio / South) a 2016 All NCAC selection. "Being part of a rebuilding program isn't easy. But Cam demonstrated last fall, by starting every game and playing almost every minute of every match, that he is fully committed. Cam is expected to be a critical part of the 2017 team and his willingness to look beyond his own needs for the betterment of the team sends a strong message," Burgess continued.
Junior goalkeeper Jack Snider (Beavercreek, Ohio / Beavercreek) completes the leadership team. "As the last line of defense Jack has faced more than his fair share of challenges the past couple of years. But you would never know it by the manner in which he conducts himself on and off the field. He's a natural leader with an understated style that we believe will be particularly important as we welcome another large recruiting class with every expectation that sophomores and freshmen will see significant playing time," Burgess concluded.
The Men's Soccer Team opens regular season play on Friday, September 1st at home against Thomas More.
