Men's Soccer Falls Short Against Otterbein; 2-1

WESTERVILLE, Ohio—For the second time in the week, men's soccer dropped a 2-1 match to a OAC opponent. Wittenberg made the short trip to Westerville to take on the Cardinals of Otterbein, after facing off against the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern earlier in the week. Oddly enough, the Tigers two goals on the week both game on account of an opposing player netting a goal on their own net. Alberto Zaragoza was a steady force for the Tigers on Friday night, managing to get three shots on goal in the game. Wittenberg continues their OAC non-conference tour with Capital on Sunday night.

GAME BREAKDOWN

  • The Tigers managed to get 12 total shots off in the match, six in each half.
  • Much like earlier in the week, Wittenberg fell victim to an earlier set of goals, as Otterbein scored their only two goals in the first 31 minutes of action.
  • Despite the losing result, Wittenberg managed to produce shot after shot on Otterbein's goalie, as the keeper was forced to make six saves in the match.

UP NEXT

  • Wittenberg returns to action on Sunday night as they face off against Capital  University in Columbus. Kick-off is set for 5:00PM.
