Tigers Fall To Ohio Wesleyan On The Road

DELAWARE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers once again found life on the road in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) challenging in a 6-0 loss to Ohio Wesleyan.

The loss dropped Wittenberg to 3-8-2 overall and 0-3-0 in the league. Ohio Wesleyan improved to 9-2-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the NCAC.

The Battling Bishops poured it on in the first half, scoring four goals in a 26-minute span. Ohio Wesleyan added two more in the final 45 minutes to account for the final margin.

The final shot count was 31-6 in favor of Ohio Wesleyan. Freshmen Hunter Bock (Pataskala, Ohio/Watkins Memorial) and Jack Snider (Beavercreek, Ohio/Beavercreek) split the game in goal, with Bock making four four saves in a second-half relief appearance. Both teams got saves from defensive players in the game.

Freshman Austin Lewis (New Carlisle, Ohio/Tecumseh) led Wittenberg's offense with three shots. Freshman Nick Gutlove (Canton, Ohio/IMG Academy (Fla.)), sophomore Alberto Gonzalez (New Carlisle, Ohio/Tecumseh) and sophomore Cameron Ferguson (Westerville, Ohio/South) each added one attempt on frame.
