TIFFIN, Ohio - It wasn't the ending the Wittenberg Tigers had envisioned, but it was still a result on the road. After allowing a tying goal in the 88th minute, Wittenberg was forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with host Heidelberg.

The tie pushed the Tigers' record to 1-1-1 on the young season. Heidelberg is now 2-0-1.

Wittenberg jumped on top with a goal in the 13th minute from senior Reed Glosser (Toledo, Ohio/Ottawa Hills). Heidelberg matched that effort less than two minutes later on a shot from 20 yards out.

Sixteen minutes into the second half, senior Brian Boutin (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) gave the Tigers the lead again as he finished a cross with a header. Once again, however, Heidelberg had the answer as the Student Princes equalized at the 87:21 mark.

Heidelberg held the advantage in shots in the game at 24-15, in addition to a 6-3 edge in corner kick opportunities. Senior goalkeeper James Van Artsdalen (Riverwoods, Ill./Deerfield) came up with nine saves in the game for Wittenberg.
