Springfield, Ohio — The last set of 2011 men's and women's soccer postseason awards has been handed out, with a pair of Wittenberg Tigers earning third-team NCAA Division III All-Ohio awards from the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA).

For the women, who finished seventh in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season standings and 8-9-1 overall in 2011, midfielder Kailey Striebel, class of 2013 from Kettering, Ohio, followed up on her first-team award of a year ago with third-team honors in 2011. The men, who finished ninth in the NCAC and 6-11-1 overall in 2011, were represented by goalkeeper Michael Lambeck, class of 2012 from Dublin, Ohio, also on the third team after making first-team a year ago.

A starter in all 59 games of her collegiate career, Striebel led the Tigers and ranked among the best in the NCAC with eight goals, four assists and 20 total points. Striebel added her second straight first-team All-NCAC honor to go along with a second-team selection in 2009 after the season. She also was a first-team All-Great Lakes Region honoree a year ago after leading the Tigers with nine goals, seven assists and 25 total points.

For her career, Striebel has 22 goals (fifth in school history), 15 assists (third in school history) and 59 total points (third in school history). Three of her goals in each of her collegiate seasons were credited as game-winners.

After a breakout 2010 season in which he earned first-team All-NCAC honors after making a career-high 110 saves, Lambeck started all 18 games in 2011. He was credited with 72 saves and three shutouts. For his career, Lambeck made 318 saves, the second-best total in program history.

Also recently, Dan Broidy, class of 2012 from Bexley, Ohio, earned third-team All-Ohio Academic honors. Broidy battled through injuries to appear in 10 games, starting nine of them. He scored one goal on the season.
