Wittenberg Falls To Mount Union 4-0

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Wittenberg men's soccer team fell by a final score of 4-0 Sunday to Mount Union at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, falling to 1-2 on the season with the loss.

The Tigers took eight shots as a team, including three on goal. Senior forward Tom Fisher (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) and junior forward Declan McBride (Surrey, England/Tasis) took the lead in the shots column with two each, including one on goal for both.

Freshman Kevin Bond (Columbus, Ohio/Bexley) added one shot, on goal, while sophomore defender Brock Hicks (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany), freshman Brian Boutin (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) and freshman Derek Walro (North Canton, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas) all attempted one shot.

In goal, junior goalkeeper Michael Lambeck (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) made one save in 73 minutes in front of the net with four goals allowed. David Rea () finished out the game with 17 minutes.

The Tigers return home for a Wednesday, Sept. 8, matchup with Thomas More at Edwards-Maurer Field, starting at 8 p.m.
