Wittenberg Drops Season Finale To Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio - Life in the North Coast Athletic Conference is a tough one for any men's soccer program, especially one that is having a hard time generating enough offense to win games. While the Wittenberg Tigers scored a goal for the first time in four games, covering two weeks, it wasn't enough to overcome the 15th ranked College of Wooster Scots in a 3-1 loss.

That loss capped another up-and-down season for the Tigers, who finished with an overall record of 7-11 and an NCAC mark of 4-5. The Tigers lost for the fourth straight time to conclude the campaign after climbing to 7-7 overall and 4-1 in the NCAC with a 6-0 win over Hiram on Oct. 16.

Sophomore Ian Acker scored the goal for the Tigers and sophomore Sebastian Missura chipped in with the assist, his team-leading ninth on the season. In goal, freshman Ben McAnnis-Entenman contributed three saves, but he was beaten for three goals, including two in a decisive first half.
