Sophomore Kyle Gould named NCAC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg sophomore Kyle Gould (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week of March 4-10.

This marks Gould's second career NCAC Player of the Week accolade, as he also earned the honor once as a freshman during the 2023 season.

The latest recognition comes after he helped lead Wittenberg to a 2-0 week. In those two games, a 14-9 win at Chatham and a 15-10 victory over Emmanuel in a neutral-site game in Maryland, he totaled 12 points on 10 goals and two assists.

He recorded three points on two goals and one assist against Chatham and added nine points on eight goals and one assist to go with seven ground balls and one caused turnover against Emmanuel. His eight goals and nine points both tied for third-best in program history for a single game.

Gould has 15 points on 12 goals and three assists this season and has 48 career points on 42 goals and six assists.

The Tigers are off to their first 3-0 start since 2014 and return to action on Saturday at Marietta at 7 p.m.
